A little bit about us….
My fiance and I have had a very love/hate relationship with food. Sometimes we would go on fast food binges or drink Starbucks every day, and other times we’d eat soup and salad and veggie burgers. It’s been a roller coaster of healthy and junk food, and since the beginning of our relationship I have gained probably 20 pounds. I have gone up almost two pants sizes. We both feel tired and sluggish constantly, and digestive problems are definitely common.
So, we’ve decided to make a change.
I have never been a huge fan of meat. I enjoy eggs and chicken, but I wouldn’t really miss it. My fiance enjoys his steak, and the occasional cheeseburger, so it may be a little tougher for him to cut out meat. We’re making a team effort to adopt a healthier lifestyle, mostly vegetarian but experimenting with raw vegan as well. Basically, no more burgers, no more sesame chicken, no more sirloin, no more sloppy eggs on toast at Waffle House.
This blog will include recipes, food that we make, restaurants that we try, and any health updates that may come along. Enjoy! Send in any tips/ideas/thoughts if you have them.
